Hey 748 Army Cadets, we want to stay connected with our Thursday evenings Online Program @ 6:30 p.m. Please join us for an hour or two so that you can all benefit from these sessions . This will help all cadets pick up for their training once the Cadet Training Program gets back in session.
The last part of our cadet training year was focused on Navigation and Drill. Therefore, join us on google docs to learn more about Navigation, etc.

Governor General's Horse Guards - The King Family Bursary
The GGHG Cavalry and Historical Society is pleased to announce the creation of the “King Family – GGHG Bursary”. The Bursary is presented thanks to a generous donation made on behalf of the King family. This donation is to recognize the service contribution of both Sgt (Retired) Malcolm King, and his father, Squadron Leader, Ralph G.B. King who saw service in World War II with the RAF and later joined the RCAF.
The bursary is to help a regimental member (past or present) or their immediate family members to partially finance their formal education at a college or university level, including trade schools. The bursary is to support the greater Regimental Family.
Amounts. 2 x $2500 per year
Criteria for selection to include:
· Entering or enrolled in a full-time post-secondary education program at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution, including trade schools;
· Achievement in academics (Minimum 75%)
· Demonstration of community service
· Well-roundedness (good performance across academic subjects and extra-curriculars)
Application Process. The applicant must download and complete the application form that is posted on the GGHG Cavalry and Historical Society Website http://www.gghgsociety.org/king-family-bursary/, a short (max 500 words) essay that shows how grit and determination has driven you towards your goals, the embodiment of both the Armour Corps and the Governor Generals Horse Guards.

SUMMER CAMP_ Updated
Directive has been issued that the Cadet Training Program including Summer Camp Training has been cancelled until 31 Aug 2020. see below excerpt...
All new Cadets that joined before 13 Mar 2020 and all cadets on strength will receive a pass for the past cadet year 2019-2020.
"The decision has been made to cancel all in-person Cadet and JCR training activities until 31 August 2020 and have directed that every Cadet and JCR have their training qualifications for this current training year marked as completed. This cancellation decision will affect local training, corps and squadron trips, cadet summer training and activities, in-person training for Cadet Instructors Cadre officers, and, in coordination with the Canadian Army, the JCR enhanced training sessions." ANNUAL VERIFICATION - FINAL NOTICE - Effective Immediately.
Any cadet without an Annual Verification form in the system, will temporarily not be permitted to parade with the Cadet Corps until the paperwork is current.
This is to ensure there are no changes to your address, state of health, contact information, etc. It is very important that you action these forms and return them to the AdminO.
