About Us
748 Governor General’s Horse Guards Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps was formed 50 years ago in September, 1974. Since then, we continued to work with the Canadian Armed Forces, our partner Reserve unit – the Governor General’s Horse Guards and the Army Cadet League of Canada to deliver high quality training programs and activities in Markham Ontario to youth of age 12 to 18.
More information on how to join!
Our Cadets
Today, our Corps has grown to serve a diverse group of over 60 cadets from Markham. The Cadet program provides a dynamic program providing structure and discipline to Canadian youth. Through a variety of challenging yet rewarding activities, cadets develop leadership, good citizenship, and physical fitness, navigation and outdoor skills.
Our cadets are the driving force behind the operations of our Corps. They are given ample opportunities to assume responsibilities to achieve personal growth in a complementary team environment.
